I have family sharing on activated and my playlists are only on my device.
The article also states the account is shared but everyone gets full individual access.

That article doesn't really address my issue. For instance, everything listed in the "For You" tab on both of our phones is identical - there is no accounting for our individual tastes.
Odd. That is not the experience my family of 4 has. I wonder if it just needs more time for you to individualize. I'm sure you all have different playlists and listening patterns. If your daughter adds a playlist it should definitely not come across to your Apple ID.
In my daughter'a phone, in the for you tab, when I click on the account tab in the top right corner and then view Apple ID at the bottom, it lists my ID. I assumed that was like that because that's the payment account and clicking on it just takes me out to the Apple ID website. There doesn't appear to be any way to change the Apple ID on that screen in the music app.
On her phone, go to settings then music, on the setting page scroll down to bottom, it should list her Apple ID, if yours is there, that is the problem.
In addition, in iCloud Settings, you should see the family members listed who are part of the plan.
At the bottom of the music setting screen, where it says Home Sharing, it was not logged into anything. Last night it was not letting me log in with my daughter's account when I tried, but today it did. All of the family members are listed in the plan in iCloud settings. One other thing I noticed today is that in the For You settings screen, at the top where it lists your name and nickname for Apple Music, if I change it my phone it also changes on my daughter's phone. The same applies if I change it on my daughter's phone - then mine changes. I will play around with them again this afternoon to see if getting her phone logged in successfully under home sharing does anything different. Thanks for helping out.
Does the family sharing plan in Apple Music mix all the family members' favorite artists, recent plays, recommendations, etc. all together?
