Iphone is not starting up

I was in a remote area and could not recharge my iPhone 6. Last time when I checked it battery was at 1% and suddenly phone got powered off by itself. Now my iPhone is completely dead. It is not starting up upon plugging in lightning cable. There is not even red sigh showing upon plugging in charger. I have already tried one of my friend's charger but in vain.
