I still hear it on my device. Go to Settings>Sounds & Haptics>Sent Mail> set the sound there.
Sorry Chris and thanks for your reply, but it hasn't solved the problem at all. BTW I have "Sounds" in my Settings (where I find it is correctly set on Classic), but I don't have "Haptics".
I'm sorry, I don't think the haptics change started until the iPhone 6s series. Your question mentioned the 6, and do you have the latest iOS on it? Do you have other sounds? If you test the sound when in Settings>Sounds, does it make the noise? It could be that your volume for those types of sounds is too low. You do not adjust it from the ringer set. I know that if you turn up your music volume, it should be louder then.
Chris, this will need to be my last reply until tomorrow. Thanks for trying to get to the cause of the problem. I have updated the device whenever asked to so think I should have the latest IOS available.
Yes it does make the noise when I test it under Settings>Sounds snd the other noises come on as well at that point but no noise of any kind comes when I send mail whatever sound is selected. The volume button on the side of the phone is set to loudest. Are you saying there is another control for the volume of this sound? Anyway, I'll look out for further word if any after sleep for a few hours!.
Regards, Nick
No problem. Are you hearing any other sounds out of the phone? Have you checked the Mute switch on the side of the phone and make sure that it is not on? If the orange is showing the mute is on. Is the mail sending sound the only sound you do not hear? This can be addressed tomorrow, no worries.
Yes this time you hit the nail. Thanks, the mute button was IT, Groan.
It shifts too easily.
You're welcome. Glad to figured it out.
my swoosh sound on my iphone 6 has stopped working. would like to restore it
