If available, use a DVD instead of Netflix. Alternatively, you can just point a camera at the screen and take a picture that way.
I believe Netflix blocks the ability to do that.
I like to screenshot with CC on so that I can keep a picture quote that I liked, so I took a screenshot with CC and when I went to look at it the only thing that showed up was the words, the rest of the screen was blacked out.

Netflix does not allow screenshots to be made of its content. We don't know how they do this or how to circumvent this. They likely do this because the rights holders for their content require or ask them to.
This is actually anti-piracy software that was built in to iOS 10. I have an old iPad Mini that i can still take these screenshots if I want to capture a quote. (The Office would be my fave for this one) That’s because iOS 9 was the last version to support the original Mini.
