I have to work with SPSS statistical program that needs R program as a bundle. But the version of SPSS (20 for Mac) only works with R program version 2.12.2. When I try to install R program in my Mac (with OS Sierra) I cannot do it !!!!

no problem./....you know this is the forum for Mac Pro's (the tower Mac) and not the portable one, right?? Ah, I'm wasting my breath talking about that...who listens to me anyways....here you can find the "R" project, which also requires XQuartz to be installed... beforehand...

usually these things have to be signed, as SIP (system integrity protection is on by default.) no sign, no install
the version there is 3.3.2 and it's in PKG format, so it should be okay...

you might also want to see if there's an update for SPSS as well....

Thanks but this does not solve the problem: the question is that I have installed SPSS v.20 for Mac that needs R program v 2.12.2 (only this version works in that version of SPSS). I do not need any other version of SPSS.
I am working in Mac OS X 10.9.5 because R program v. 2.12.2 cannot be installed in Mac OS Sierra.
And the question is: how can I install R program v 2.12.2 in Mac OS Sierra? Could it be done it?
