itunes, can it see an edited mp3 file (artist added from other source)

I am using MusicBee to manage my playlist, as I'm using my android phone, and other devices. I then mirror this music and playlists to iTunes.

in MusicBee, I have edited the artists, etc, and this has updated the MP3's.

I would like to know how to make iTunes SEE that the mp3's which are in the library are NEWER (same name), and thus sync these to the iPod on next sync.

example.

JohnDenver01.mp3, added to MusicBee, and to iTunes library.

in MusicBee, artist was listed as "unknown", I made it "John Denver". MusicBee then updated the MP3, but mp3 is still called "JohnDenver01.mp3".

iTunes did not see me change anything, still has "JohnDenver01.mp3" in its music library.

How to get iTunes to recognize that "JohnDenver01.mp3" is now an updated/edited file, and thus update the ipod at next sync.

thanks

one additional question.

i have 11,000 songs in playlist.

I had selected ALL of them for the script; the script seemed to choke;

is ther a file number limit?

I then selected files in groups of about 600, and that worked.

it may be that I just did not wait long enough, or did not see a progress bar.

BUT, with the 600 at a time, it worked great.

thanks
