Hi There,

I have this issue too for my macbook air 2012 version.

I pretty sure there is something wrong with the mac air.

Trial#1:

Plug in headphone--> On Music --> No Sound.

Trial#2:

Flip down the screen to sleep ---> Plug in headphone --> Flip up screen awake ---> Play music --> Only left side has sound.

Trial# 3:

Was using another bigger headphone, it was working for 1-2 times, then not working anymore.

I do not know why the screen must flip down and up before headphone can work?

As such, i do not know why only one side is working eventhough i have checked both Sound stereo, Mini setup are both channel at same level, reset SCM/PRAM..etc. ALL tried but the problem yet to resolve.

I guess this is something macbook air expert can advise, i do not see it for Macbook Pro so far.

Thanks.
