How tough is iPhone 7 Matte Black?

Helllo!

Few days ago I upgraded from 4s to 7 and I like device as it is, without cases and screen glasses

I am careful user and never put iPhone in same pocket with coins or smash it on table but still wondering about it toughness.

Question: is it safe to use iPhone without case and screen protector in regular lifetime? What may scratch iPhone surface?

Mostly I afraid of camera. It it little bit bulge. Will it be problem, when I place it on table? May camera just brake down?

Thank you, guys, for detailed answers!

I think you know the answer. A case is an insurance policy. While I like using the phone without the case it is slippery and easily dropped, the phones worst nightmare.

The glass on the face and camera are pretty decent and difficult but not impossible to scratch.

I don't like to over do it on cases and prefer the Apple cases as they compliment the phone design. Either the silicon case or Leather that are designed to the phone keep the same sleek design while protecting the device.

The glass on iPhones is pretty tough. However, if you routinely carry it a pocket with your keys there's a risk of scratches. If you drop the phone the glass may break, but a screen protector won't help with that.

The downside to any screen protector is that it defeats the oliophobic coating on the glass that allows you to wipe off fingerprints.
