SSD: new or refurbished?

Hi all,

I recently bought online a MacBook Pro 15" sold as new and coming sealed with the original packing.

After the first starting process I scanned the system with the DriveDx utility and,

as the screenshots show, it seems that all the components are at 100% of their lifetime.

All except for the Hard Disk which presents a very high amount of data in reading / writing, even higher than its capacity.

Furthermore its power on time was already 19 hours.

I would like to know if that is normal or maybe I should worry the unit or the system can be refurbished.

I look forward to your help, please. Thank you in advance.

to keep the cost of overhead down it is not uncommon for drive manufactures to ship products they claim are new that were refurbished. Deep scans of new drives can often uncover previous data from other owners. Despite claims these are not refurbished it appears to happen far more than people realize because the majority of owners unlike you won't check like you did.

If the manufacturer is offering the warranty and claiming the device is not refurb then it's possible the drive was used and some components were swapped out essentially making it a "new" product, but should not be a problem if they have a full warranty in place.
