Iphone 7 plus camera lens easily got scratched!

So much for a sapphire lens. My iphone 7 plus camera lens got scratched. I just bought my phone a few days ago and i have taken good care of it. To my surprise i noticed a scratch on the camera today. Not sure what scratched it but would it not scratch that easy since it suppose to be sapphire? Anybody got the same problem?
