Iphone 5 activation problem after Reset

Hi.

I am facing trouble with my 'iPhone 5'. It was working absolutely good for last couple of years but suddenly 3 days before the network stopped working. It always shows 'Searching....'. After that I 'Reset the Network Settings' but no improvement. Yesterday I gave 'Factory Reset'. Every thing seemed good but the phone do not active. There is no sim in my phone but still it shows 'Searching...' in the status bar. I also try to active the phone through connect the iTunes. Still the result is same.

One of my friends said the phone lost its imei.

What this means? What should I do now? Is there any replacement/exchange option available?

Please can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Hello kool.shahed,

Thanks for asking about your iPhone and the activation issues here in the Apple Support Communities. Please check this article regarding your issue: If you can't activate your iPhone . It has some great troubleshooting, offers the same step that the error message is displaying requesting you try connecting the iPhone to iTunes and activating it that way, and even offers the step and article for you to restore your device if you still need help.

If restoring your iPhone still doesn't work because of an activation error, contact Apple Support .

Thanks again and have a great rest of your evening.
