Can I see shared notes on both my iPhone and iPad?

Is it possible see shared notes on both my iPhone and iPad?

I have an iPhone 6S on iOS 10.2 and a 3rd gen iPad on iOS 9.3.5. I can see shared notes on the iPhone as iCloud notes, but they do not show up in Notes on the iPad. The shared notes are sent to me from another user.

Notes I create are syncing between the iPhone and iPad as iCloud notes.

Howdy JPM65,

I understand that despite the fact that your Notes are syncing between your iPad and iPhone, notes shared with you are only appearing on your iPhone. In such a case you may need to verify both that the notes are shared with your iCloud account (as opposed to another account that may be set up on your iPhone) and that iCloud is set as the default account in Settings > Notes > Default Account.

Take notes - iPhone User Guide

If you're still unable to see the Notes shared with you on your iPad, the next step would be to sign out of iCloud on your iPad in Settings > iCloud and tapping Sign Out (all the way at the bottom of this screen) then sign back in.

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

iCloud

  1. Tap Settings > iCloud on your iOS device. If you see the option to sign in, you can change your Apple ID now.
  2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out.

  3. Tap Sign Out again to confirm. After you sign out of iCloud, you might not be able to access some of your data that's stored in iCloud until you sign in again. If you're part of a family, you need to sign back in to use Family Sharing.
  4. Choose Keep on My iPhone or Delete from My iPhone when you're asked what you want to do with your iCloud data.
  5. Enter your password to sign out.
  6. Go to Settings > iCloud and enter your Apple ID and password.
  7. Tap Sign In.

If you updated your Apple ID email address and your device repeatedly asks for the password to your previous Apple ID, you can temporarily change your Apple ID to sign in.

Take care.
