I'm using version 12.5.4.42 and just noticed a question mark next to the equalizer setting. It appears regardless of which equalizer setting I've selected and changing them seems to make no noticeable difference in sound.
Is this possibly a bug in the latest version?

I'm running the same version and it works fine. Try changing to 'Manual' mode and adjust the presets. Also do you have the Pre-Amp turned on? Also, check you Speaker Output settings..
hm- i tried messing with the settings and that didn't seem to change. here are a few screenshots. see that question mark next to the 'accoustic' preset?
weird- now i'm noticing the question mark in other areas of mac os (this is in contacts)...
It's in every "selection menu". Today's update nothing changed.
