I connected my apple tv to my wi fi network. But with two step verification I cannot link to my home sharing on itunes. The apple tv does not offer a place for entering the verification code. Help!

Hi. You can use 2-factor authentication with older Apple TVs, but the technique is a little special. See this link: Re: appleTV keeps asking for appleID, password and authentication code circularly for the steps.
After about 30+ minutes of struggling through this, we finally figured out how to turn on home sharing. If you have an older generation of AppleTV you need to turn off the "two factor authentication" in your apple account because there is not an appropriate place to enter the 6 digit code. Then your standard password should work.
Looks like someone already said this, but I'll say it again because it was such a nightmare.
If you are using 2 factor authentication on an older device…
You should be able to append the code to your password and enter that (i.e. if your password is ABC and your code is 123, enter ABC123), however if this doesn't work, you may want to temporarily disable the 2 step verification/2 factor authentication while you log in.

This seems crazy. I had to disable two-factor in order to keep using Apple TV. Why isn't there a fix or an update from Apple?
