iOS calendar won't create event in past (iPhone 6S)

Today is Dec 15. The calendar on my iPhone 6S (iOS 10.1.1) won't create an event any earlier than Nov 14. For example, if I do steps to create for Nov 10, it completes, and a dot appears on that day for a second but then disappears -- the event doesn't stick. Is there a setting somewhere that limits retroactive event creation? Can I unlimit it? Am I the only person in the world who might want to mark something that happened in the past??

Thanks.
Michael

Hi macmikal,

I understand you're having some trouble creating events a certain distance in the past. Let's try and adjust some settings to see if we can get this configured to your liking.

Go to Settings > Calendar > Sync > Tap on All Events.

After you've enabled Sync for All Events, try to go through the process of creating an event again and see what you find there or your events are already there.
