I upgraded to Sierra 10.12.2 and now my external monitors will not work when connected. I use a Dell and a Samsung (one at office, one at home). How can I get these to work?

You can try resetting the SMC.

Thanks dialabrain, while reading through the article, I decided to completely shut down and then power up. I had done that before with the Dell but no luck. It did work with the Samsung!
