Pairing Iphone with OnStar

You don't "pair" your phone with OnStar. You can pair your iPhone with the vehicle's systems by using BlueTooth as described in the owner's manual. Once you do that, you'll be able to make and receive calls, play music (if so equipped), use CarPlay (if so equipped), and mirror navigation via Apple Maps to the dashboard video (if so equipped).

OnStar has two very important apps available through the App Store. First, you should search for "onstar" and get the OnStar app. Next, search for the make of your car (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, etc.) and get the app that is directed at owners of that particular make. For example, Cadillac users will get the app titled "MyCadillac."

First (talk about burying the lead), you should press the blue button and allow the technicians at OnStar to talk you though the process. That is what they are getting paid to do.
