Can't send or receive messages to Android phones from imessage on macbook pro with retina display. It used to work fine until Apple support had me reset my phone due to battery issues.

Messages to Android phones use SMS, not iMessage. To access them on your MacBook Pro you need to enable Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone:
Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding
Thanks! It works now! I guess after Apple had me do a reset on my phone it turned off the message forwarding.
