Have the same issue with iOS 10.2 and Snapchat. Have updated Snapchat to 9.45.1.0, but still the same. I have tried removing and reinstalling Snapchat again, but no luck. I think it´s a Snapchat issue, but should it crash the OS?
I suggest that you contact the developer to advise them of the ongoing issue (keep selecting options until you can submit your issue):
Thank you for the link. I did a new test by hard resetting the iPhone, and now snapchat works for now. If it begin crashing again, I´ll contact snapchat about it.
I have this exact same problem as well. I have tried hard resetting my iPhone, and it worked, but the same problem will occur over a bit of time.
Yes, that happened to me too. It helps just a while. So is it iOS 10.2 or Snapchat that is the issue?

It's almost certainly snapchat, and most likely it is just your specific snapchat app. Try deleting it, rebooting the phone, and adding it back.
I reported it to Snapchat, and they responded that they are working on a fix.
I have this same problem. My snapchat was at the lastest version (the one with group chats and new custom stickers) and i updated to ios 10.2 and the problem began to occur. I have since deleted snapchat twice and downloaded another update that has came out and I still experience the problem. When I load Snapchat and slide right over to the chat section it freezes, then my screen goes black for about 1-2 seconds and the white screen with a black apple logo appears. Hope Apple or snapchat releases a new patch update soon which will hopefully fix this problem. I'm on the iPhone 6 so I'm not sure if it's only my phone that's doing it or if iPhone 6s's and 7's are doing it as well
Snapchat has acknowledged this issue and is working on a fix.
If you can live without snapchat for a few weeks please consider not using it until it is fixed.
Snapchat queries 20-30 time servers across the world and sends 30-50 time requests. We don't know why.
Publicly available network of NTP servers is suffering massive stress after Snapchat update released on the 13th of December. The traffic increased by a factor of 5 to 10 depending on the region. Many servers went down and were taken offline because of this. I am running few servers and within a week of release just four of them served 15 billion requests and pushed 3TBytes of data. New update has been published on the App store. It resolves NTP requests issue.

Updated Snapchat on December 20th with the new update and still getting the same problem. Iphone crashes everytime I swipe to look at chat.
