I am from India news Widget not working says no stories, can any one help me out how to fix this

You may try this:

Settings > General > Date & Time > Set automatically (off) > Time Zone ( advance the date for 7 day ) > go to news widget (if the news is updated > set back the date & time "set autamatically" ON

The article you came to the communities from says why:

News is available in the United States with iOS 9 or later, and in the United Kingdom and Australia with iOS 9.1 or later.

If you are in India, it's not available.

I want to add a note that when I first bought the iPhone 6s, in India, I was able to view the News feeds. It was showing local news brilliantly. I think it was fetching news feed from Yahoo India. Somehow it stopped working after I updated to iOS 10.2 recently. I don't know why the heck it doesn't work now. It currently displays "No Stories". My colleague has updated his phone to iOS 10.2 but he is able to view the News content in his phone. Looks like Apple needs to fix this widget issue.

Yeah. I'm facing the same issue. It was working fine before 10.2 update. Hope so, this issue will get resolved.

I am having the same problem,and no update till now (10.2.1) is able to resolve this issue.The news were being displayed at the starting when i bought a new 6S.Now it wont show any news feed.
