Repeated DHCP requests when sleeping

This is a repeatable bug.


While in sleep mode, the AppleTV3 spits out a DHCP request about once a minute. As soon as the device is awakened – pressing any key on the remote will do it – the requests stop until the lease expires.

I was wrong about one important detail: my device is actually an AppleTV 4! (Apologies.)


It is connected via ethernet and the IP lease duration is 1 hour.


I did read that other thread post prior to my original post. There is an important detail missing in that discussion, however, which I why I started a new topic. That is, the problem persists only when the AppleTV4 is asleep.


I'm hoping that it helps an Apple engineer to solve the issue.
