Blocked from network use with valid IMEI?

Hello Apple Community,

This is my first post so bare with me.

I am on the Straight Talk network.

Approximately 2 months ago I purchased an AT&T iPhone 6s 128gb off of Craigslist WHILE taking all necessary precautions (calling carrier & apple, checking IMEI blacklist, verifying no water damage, SIM card successfully activated the phone, etc.) to ensure the device would be fully functional.

About 2 weeks after purchasing the device I attempted to make a call and was greeted by an automated message saying, "Your device has been blocked from network access..." or something along those lines. Then magically my phone started working again.

Now, a month and a half later my phone is experiencing the same issue, but now days later the issue has yet to be resolved. I have contacted AT&T. I have contacted Straight Talk. They continue to send me to the other guy and I'm tired of it. If anyone else has experienced this problem or knows how this issue can be resolved I'll forever be in your debt.

Thanks again - GoMan

only the carrier you use can block IMEI so unless the issue is when you are roaming on att then it's Straight Talks issue

where I live if I report the IMEI to the police if my phone is stolen they have all carriers block it if it works different where you live and some carriers has it blocked or some sort if modifications to alter the imei was performed and it's not 100% bullet proof then maybe your issue is when you're roaming on networks which have your imei blocked or when the imei alteration fails to work as intended
