change printing default settings

How do I change the printing default settings for my HP 8710? It automatically defaults to "two sided" printing. I would like to have the default changed to single sided printing.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), iOS 10.2

Most likely that is an option on the printer. Use the manual to find how to set it. Otherwise, the setting is found in the extended Print dialog. Saving the settings as the printer's default will change it.
