I have a much slower Mac After Sierra Update. One of the reasons appears to be Spotlight constantly upgrading its data base. So, how do i turn OFF And ON Spotlight In Mac OS Sierra. Can't seem to find a preference setting to check on or off.
There isn't a way short of adding your Hard Drive to Privacy tab. It then won't index it. However, it should only take an hour or so to index your drive. If it keeps indexing, something is wrong.
After leaving the hard drive in Privacy for 10 to 15 seconds, remove it from there. See if it finishes indexing and doesn't constantly index.
After installing Sierra, Spotlight indexing can take some time to complete. Be patient. If you keep turning if on/off it has to start over each time.
