My macbook pro was stolen and get locked next day. Is there any way to track it down?

My macbook pro was stolen. After I figure out it's stolen, I sign in to my icloud account and lock it and checked in the box "Notify me when found ". The next day I get following email from apple.

"

MacBookPro*** has been locked.
This Mac was locked at 2:16 AM PST on December 15, 2016. If you retrieve your Mac, unlock it using the passcode you created at the time you locked it.
Use Find My iPhone on an iOS device or visit icloud.com/find on a Mac or PC to take additional action.

"

This indicates Macbook was connected to internet at that time. So I am looking forward if there is anyway I can further track it down from this email. I was thinking this email would also contain some location information like geographical co-ordinates or any other information which would help me to track that but it does not. Is there any way I can track it further.

Thank you!

Greetings thesanz007,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to track your MacBook Pro. I would recommend you read this article, it explains how you can do that.

Use Find My Mac to locate your computer

If you set up Find My Mac before your Mac was lost or stolen, you can use it to locate your Mac on a map, or play a sound to help you find it. You can also use it to remotely lock or erase your Mac. To use Find My Mac, sign in to iCloud.com on another computer or download the Find My iPhone app for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If your Mac is lost or stolen
Take care.
