Nothing I can do about what it does or doesn't do (you already know that I don't have the TV app so can't confirm if that's the case). If you think it needs more functionalility : http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Problem is that you can only view movies, etc. purchased from iTunes. You cannot view home movies, or movies from alternate sources in your library. It appears either Apple forgot this, or worse yet, it was left out on purpose. TV app needs help or give us back the videos app.
What issue/s is/are that?
Any videos that aren’t content from iTunes gets all grouped into the Home Movies section of the TV app.
What, exactly, is the problem with that?
I have a lot of YouTube videos and other personal videos stored in the Home Movies location.
The new TV app is currently US only, everywhere else we still have the Videos app
Go to tv app. select library. then select home videos
Videos app still showing after updated to iOS 10.2, not sure is good / bad thing?
Thanks for the clarification!
Plazz return old version apple videos app remove apple tv
Has anyone found an answer/workaround to this huge iOS issue? Only being able to watch Apple approved video might be the straw that causes me to motivate others to switch devices.

Have you updated the phone's iOS version ? If you have, have you checked to see if you now have the TV app ?
