Header for group iMessage doesn't have photos

Are there people in the group who are not using iMessage? If so, you'll have fewer options. You can't, for example, name the group. But, double check in Settings>Messages>Show Contact Photos and make sure it's set to on.

The issue is not necessarily whether or not they are using an iPhone. They also need to be signed into iMessage. And, both you and they need to have an active data connection (either WiFi or cellular).

Ok, so everyone is signed into iMessage? Does everyone have an active data connection? You also might want to sign out of iMessage, wait a couple of minutes, then sign back in. Try a forced restart (press and hold the Home and power buttons until the apple appears then let go and allow the phone to finish starting up). Reset your network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Note that you will lose any saved WiFi passwords.

And, my apologies. The SE, being a smaller screened phone, doesn't have the setting for showing contact photos. I'd forgotten that.

You can try deleting the thread.

Maybe they changed it. I can't confirm it as I don't use group messaging very much.

Take your phone out of zoom display.

settings - display and brightness - display zoomed - view - standard.

I have an iPhone SE and I am not seeing "Display Zoomed" under Settings > Display & Brightness. I am also experiencing the same issues as the OP. If I check under Settings > Messages I do not see the toggle for Show Contact Photos.

Any additional advice?

I am having the same issue. With 10.1, I had the circles with pics and names and since I updated to 10.2 all I see is "2 people". I also can see the zoom...standard. Help!

I have a friend with an SE that hasn't updated and she has pic in circles with names on her group messages.
