how to stop siri from repeating my alarm command ten times

Here's a good workaround solution to the problem, at least until Apple finally figures their way out of this. Break the alarm command down into two steps as follows:

1. Say, "Add an alarm."

2. Siri well then ask what time to set the alarm for, and then say, "8:00 AM," or whatever.

This seems to work.

I am having the same exact problem! And in addition to that problem when I try to delete all alarms Siri asks me to confirm then when I push confirm she says "there is nothing to confirm" or if I say yes, she just says something like "I thought so" and doesn't delete the alarms. It worked fine before one of latest updates, but then it just started doing these two things...

Unfortunately this issue occurs after factory reset. So it is a bug. I actually walked into an Apple Store and tried it on a new phone and it does it there too. The store assistant didn't know about the issue because he's never used the feature. Have you actually tried to say "set alarm for 8 am"... Try it

I have experienced the same issue as all others, multiple verbal confirmations from Siri on setting alarm, different sentence structure from her but same message. iPhone 5, ios 9.3.5, Australia

I also have this bug, iPhone 5 w/9.3.5.

Very annoying. In this latest case, I asked siri to set a reminder "in 10 minutes". I now have 12 alarms set at the exact same time.

Reboot, clearing all alarms, etc did nothing to help.

Have tried all workarounds and resetting phone and restoring to factory defaults and still have the problem with Siri when I ask him to set or change an alarm.

OK here's how I solved this problem. My iPhone was repeating each request to set an alarm 5 times. 1st I asked Siri to clear all alarms. 2nd instead of telling SIRI to "Set an alarm for X o'clock" use a different command such as "Siri I want to set an alarm" Siri will start that process and ask you what time. Tell Siri the time and it gets set once.

Same exact problem for last 3 weeks before and after latest update to 10.2.

Reset phone to factory settings and set up as new. Only imported contacts from yahoo. Still repeats alarm request about 10 times. . . Glitch . . Annoying . . Thanks for any help. . Merry Christmas

Same problem here. It only repeats the commands when turning on the alarm, not when I ask to turn the alarm off. I does it on both my IPad and iPhone. IT does it on both Wi-Fi and cellular for the phone, my iPad doesn't have cellular service. I toggled Siri off then rebooted but still no luck. I haven't tried restoring either device. It's really just an annoying glitch. I live in Florida if that helps.

This happens on both my wife's phone (both iPhone 5c) and my phone since the upgrade to 10.2. I emailed Apple several weeks ago and never heard back.

I'm having the same issue on an iPhone5 with latest iOS 10.2. Definitely an iOS software bug. Hopefully will be fixed.

I am also experiencing the exact same problem. Every time we ask Siri to set an alarm she responds between seven and 10 times that the alarm has been set. Both my wife and I are having the same experience on our phones. I have an iPhone 5S.

I have this problem, too on iOS 9.0.2 on my iPad 3. It suddenly started one day and has been doing it every single time since.

Same issue. iPhone 6 running iOS 10.2. Please fix.
