iCal and .Mac not synching

I use iSynch and .Mac to synch between my Treo 650 and three iMacs. 2 iMacs are synching fine. The iMac that I also synch with the Treo is not synching ical with my .Mac account. (It will synch with the Treo).

I believe there is a problem with my calendars. I have tried to manually copy them from another computer but could not locate the correct location.

I have also tried resetting the calendar data on this computer with the .Mac account. It says it is synching for a longer time, but iCal is not changed.

The address book and bookmarks are synching correctly with .Mac.

This computer is an iMac G5 running 10.4.2.

Your issue is actually isolated solely to .Mac Sync and does not involve iSync, based upon the information you provided. A forum for .Mac Sync related issues is located here:

Have you—from the problematic machine—unregistered it from .Mac, reregistered it and then attempted to Reset Sync Data? At any point, did you reset the Sync Services framework using the Reset Sync History option? Have you isolated your Treo temporarily by either making it unavailable or removing it as a device? Have you backed up your contact, calendaring and task records—on at lease one computer—using the provision to do so under the File menu in both the Address Book and iCal?

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, my iCal still hasn't updated with .Mac.

When I tried to do a backup I realized I have iCal 1.5.5 downstairs and 2.0.2 on this computer. The one with 2.0.2 is the one not cooperating.

I think I have Tiger on my computer at work which is synching correctly, but don't return to work until next Tuesday.

Would updating to Tiger downstairs help or hurt? I own a copy, just haven't installed it.

Synchronizing across Mac OS X 10.3 [iSync 1.5] and 10.4 [.Mac Sync] is a special case. You need to look at the brief instructions in this technical not before attempting to do so:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301228

From my point of view, you are virtually always better off using Mac OS X 10.4 or later, iSync 2 or later and .Mac Sync on each device in your synchronization pool, primarily because the Sync Services framework—incorporated into Mac OS X 10.4 and later—is not available under earlier OS releases.
