Burning iTunes to disc

Mackbook Pro - El Capitan 10.11.6

Purchased an album via iTunes and downloaded to my MacBook Pro. I've saved the album as a playlist and want to make a CD but when I choose the playlist and select "file" the "Burn playlist to disc" option is unselectable. I've never encountered this problem before.

Thoughts?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Create a playlist. ...
  3. Add songs to your playlist. ...
  4. Insert a blank CD-R/CD-RW disc, waiting until the disc is recognized. ...
  5. Select "File" and then "Burn Playlist to Disc." ...
  6. Figure out the burn settings. ...
  7. Click "Burn" and wait for your computer to burn the information to the disc. ...
  8. Finished.

Make sure the CD you insert is blank.

Make sure you are selecting the new playlist and not the album.
