Is anyone having difficulties playing Candy crush saga on the iPad 2?

I don't play that game, however my niece plays Smurfs Village on hers and yeah, it crashes.

The game simply puts more demands on the device than the device has resources to handle....in other words your ipad is old and not really equipped to handle graphics intensive games (I own one too, my m om only uses it for email and solitaire, but it crashed all the time even a year ago playing games like that)

You can try to force close other apps by double tapping the home button and flicking all the previews off the screen to close them. then single tap on the home button or home page preview to exit the mode. You can also force your iPad to restart by holding down the sleep and home keys for 20 seconds or so. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot.

But those are just stopgap measures. The only way you're going to have a good experience playing your game is to buy a newer device. As a person that went from and iPad 2 to a mini 4, the speed difference is immediately noticible.

Happy Holidays to you. I was in the same boat as you, only it was Smurfs Village and a year ago. So I took advantage of Black Friday sales, got me a new mini 4 and my mom is eeking the last bit of life out of my 2 by using it for her e-mail and to find answers to crossword puzzles.
