How to remove TV app with Apple Configurator?

I'm trying to restrict access to the TV app on an iPad through Apple Configurator 2. I'm navigating to:

  • New Profile
  • Restrictions
  • Apps Tab
  • Restrict App Usage-Only Allow some Apps.

When searching for the TV app, there is no option to choose to restrict the app.

Is there a way to do this automatically?

Hi there!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

To remove the app simply, tap and hold on the 'TV' app icon and click the 'x' and click 'Delete', this will remove the TV app, please note, once removed after th iOS 10.2.1 update, you cannot re-restore it. The Apple Configurator 2 does not support removing the TV app quite yet!

Hope this helped!
