How long does the iPhone 7 Plus take to charge?

I've noticed that my iPhone 7 Plus takes roughly 3 hours to a complete charge, from maybe a 10%. I have also noticed that the battery life is not as great as advertised by the company. I am not sure if it may be my reception coverage, as I have seen articles about it, but still have the same issue while at home connected to the Wi-Fi where the battery does not last that long. I also make sure that all location features are turned off, the brightness is kept to a minimum where I could actually see and make sure to turn the screen off when not in use. Will I be experiencing issues with my phone? Should I bring it in to an Apple Store for a check up?

In conclusion, the battery drains quickly and charges very slowly. What may be the problem?

I just got my iPhone 7 plus brand new, it takes about 3 hours 55 min for it to charge it lasts me about 10-12 hours but, keep in mind I am a heavy user of my iPhone YouTube, podcasts, games, etc if your are like me and a lot of other people I have talked to (5 people) its normal. I would assume it would last longer for me if I just used calls, texts. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello,

The battery life does depend on your network signal if your phone has none it could be trying boost to get what there is even if your on wifi but I went from the galaxy s6 to iPhone 7 plus and I have no regrets battery is ten times more better and mine only takes and 1hr & 45mins to charge at least around that but I've been on mine for 13 hours toying around and figuring everything out while watching movies, Facebook, Snapchat and web surfing and it was only at 30 percent. Also try not to use phone when charging but that's what I think could cause the prolonged charge

I have been charging with the provided charger, and it does take a while to charge. I believe that apple should work on their charging methods. Because charging can take too long, on iPod, iPad, and iPhone. The lightning charging is a very unique way of charging but maybe making it more powerful with a better adapter to connect to the wall. I may be an apple fan, but the charging time takes longer than it should. But I am satisfied with the length of the battery life. Quite impressive.

My use is similar and I am getting a similar performance from the battery life of my iPhone 7 plus. What I am worried about is that over time (say after 6-7 months) the battery will deteriorate which means you will need to charge the phone more frequently. Not having a speed charging capability at that time will be a huge loss.

I was once a samsung galaxy user, changing to iphone7 plus really changed my phone game. I am a teen and i really like to go through insta and snap 24/7. The first thing i wake up is to check my phone. My samsung phone can went 100% to 70% in just 1 to 2 hours; while ip7 plus, i can use from morning till afternoon it still remains at 100 or 90 (if heavy usage like snap, camera, Youtube and location). Of course I switch on Low Power Mode

Hello, Antrivaa.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I understand your iPhone is taking longer than expected to charge to 100% and your battery drains quickly. It sounds like that you may have an App running in the background constantly which could explain the slow charge and battery drain. This link may be helpful, check it out: About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch . Using a 3rd party charger or connecting to a USB on a computer can also affect charging time.
