Can't delete iOS download

I have always been able to delete this annoying automatic download in settings under manage storage, but now there is no option to delete, only install. It's huge and taking up too much space, and I don't want to update to iOS 10 (I'm still on last version of 9) due to all the problems reported on iPhone 6. Has Apple changed the ability to delete to force you to download now?

What's also odd is my camera is telling me I don't have enough space to take a picture, but I'm only 11GB full of my 16GB.

What gives?

(PS: sorry I can't find the software section of this forum...)

Hello there!

Have you tried to open that iOS 10.2-"file" in your settings (the 2nd photo, where is information about your storage)? When you open that, you should see a button which says "delete downloand" (or something like that, my phone's language is Finnish so not sure what it is in English 😀). That's how you can delete the update and you'll see "download and install" instead of "install" in "software update".

The iOS-update will download itself again, when your phone is plugged into power source and has Wi-Fi on. If you disable Wi-Fi when plugged, the update will not download (if you want to avoid it).
