Text wrap in Contacts Notes not working after iOS 10.2 update. Please fix in 10.2.1!

Though, not too nasty of a surprise, an annoying bug that has popped up in the iOS 10.2 update on an iPhone 7+, 6s, and 6, that we tested, the "Auto Text Wrap" when looking at "Notes" in Contacts>Notes, from "Info”, in any app that allow that view(i.e. The "Circled 'i' icon" in Messages, Mail, Voicemail, etc.) no longer works, so any text that used to auto-wrap is now cut off at the edge of screen. The only fix is to enter a "Return" before the last visible text on the screen, which will put the "missing" text back in the readable portion of the screen.

Please Fix in iOS 10.2.1!

Thank You.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.2

This temporary "work-around" is from Papa Bill. It works and provides a temporary solution until an Apple patch comes out:

I'm having the same problem and after some experimenting, I discovered a "work-around".

My Contacts fall into 2 categories, depending on the length of the text in their Notes field:

1 - Long Notes - long enough that they need to wrap when viewed on my iPhone screen.

2 - Short Notes - short enough that they don't need to wrap (including Contacts without Notes).

If I open my Contacts app and view only Contacts with Long Notes, they never wrap.

But, after I open JUST ONE Contact with Short Notes, all subsequent Contacts I open wrap as required.

Closing my Contact app and opening it again puts me back into the "no wrap" state.

Still not fixed in iOS 10.3. I'm not sure what going on with this wonderful company, but Apple is making a lot of mistakes and taking a lot of time to fix their mistakes or bugs in their software.

This his is not just iPhone iOS, it's also major applications like Logic Pro X 10.3 update. Absolutely horrible look, and so many bugs. I'm getting worried that they are having management issues?

Come on already. This text not wrapping issue has been going on WAY TOO LONG. This is so inexcusable for such a company to let this go on for so long.

I have already sent Apple 2 emails about this text not wrapping problem. In my second email I told them that the problem has gone on way too long and it's causing major difficulties for myself and many other people and is inexcusable. I said that if this problem is not corrected very shortly, that my next phone will not be an Apple. It just seems that anymore their updates to fix bugs in previous updates, create more serious bugs. I'm beginning to wonder if these constant updates are even thoroughly checked out. I'm beginning to think that Apple is putting more value on the "almighty dollar" then on their customers.

Truly nasty, iPhone updated to official IOS10.3 today, and the shocking result is that longer note text in the contacts still cannot be displayed properly as before since official 10.2, which is unbeliveble!!! The more cardinal number of cumstomer complaints by phone calls / emails etc. the more attention will be drawn by deaf Apple engineering team!!! You have been patiently waiting from 10.2 to 10.3, do not expect that such silly error will be fixed in 10.4 if we don't take actions together. Let's file more formal complaint!!! That's the only choice!!!

I too updated my iPhone 6S to 10.3 today and still have the "can't see end of long Contact Notes lines" problem. The workaround from Papa Bill (thanks!) to first view a contact without long lines worked for me but is unacceptable. I sync the iPhone Contacts with Outlook 2016 on Windows 10. BTW, also failed on IOS 10.2.1. How the fuek do we escalate this?! Is anybody out there?

I used "connect" but it does not have an iPad version. I searched probably a dozen different contact Managers until I found "contactbook" By tidal pool software. It has its own field manager so solves the wrapping problem and it's a pretty nice contact manager in it's Own right. the pro version offers various cleaning and export versions if you need that. The free version is doing the job and may become my permanent contact manager, though the constant nagging to purchase the pro version is a bit much. Points to connect for not doing that

Why Apple hasnt fix this is beyond me. I saw the workaround but That doesn't help with editing. And the bug is definitely native. You can create a brand new contact and write a really long note and it will not wrap. Crazy. But connect or contactbook Will solve that problem.

I experienced this issue on my iPhone 6S. Note: Mail, calendar, and contacts come from my google account. Here are the steps that worked for me:

1) Settings, mail, accounts.

2) Select my gmail account.

3) Turn off "Contacts". This removes the contacts from my iPhone, but they still reside with Google.

4) Open the Contacts app. Confirm that the contacts are removed from your device.

5) Return to your gmail account in Settings, mail, accounts.

6) Turn on "Contacts".

7) Once the contacts are downloaded from Google, the notes section text auto-wraps as expected.

This work around doesn't work when viewing Contact Notes via any secondary App (i.e. Messages, Voicemail, Messages, etc.), using the "circle i, get info" button to retrieve the contact notes, primarily because there is no way to open a second contact after opening the affected contact notes when viewing via this method

Here is what I Reported to Apple. 12/22/16.

However, this does NOT happen in the actual CONTACTS app, so you might not notice this BUG until you are trying to read notes on one of your contacts, from within any other app.
