how to uninstall microsoft office 2016 so it can be reinstalled

How do I uninstall Microsoft Office 2016. It is not working properly (won't launch) and the folks at GoDaddy suggested I uninstall and reinstall. I have a MacBookPro with os 10.11.6

powerbookG3, Mac OS X (10.6.8), macBook Pro

As a precaution, be careful what you delete. In particular, this one file noted in Kappy's link:


~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office


That file in your user account is where Outlook saves all emails, contacts and email account info. If you don't have that backed up and delete it, then when you reinstall and launch Outlook, it will be blank.
