how to turn of everything in icloud except find my phone

Anyway: one problem I am having,
1. Now that I have installed it, I am having a difficult time with the cloud. I want everything turned off except "find my Phone". The problem is that cloud wont let me turn off everything except "Find My Phone"My Phone"

When I turn of everything except "Find My Phone" and then try to log out of the cloud, it tells me that I have to type in my password in order to turn off "Find My Phone". I dont want to turn OFF, Find my Phone, but it wont let me sign out until I do. so then I log back in to the cloud, so that I can turn "find my Phone" back on, and discover that everything is automatically turned back on, and I have to turn it all back off again, except for "Find My Phone, but then when I try to log out, it wont let me log out unless I log out of "Find My Phone" again too"

2. The second question is that of that new high security thing you have created where I have to type in another number that gets sent to a second devise. I forget what you call it. I Turned That Off! why did I have to use it to log in to this website?

This is a user-to-user support forum. Apple is not reading here.

Go to Settings>iCloud and turn off everything except Find My iPhone. You do not sign out of iCloud. If you sign out of iCloud, you have to turn off Find My iPhone as they are inextricably connected. But, turning everything else off will mean that information will not be stored in iCloud.

See this article for instructions on how to turn off Two-Factor Authentication:

OK, here is the thing. I already turned off two factor identification, which required that I change my password. Then when I logged in to this website I was required to usE 5two factor identification anyway. Then I was sent a message telling me that I had re enacted two factor identification.

NOw now I just tried to turn it off again and it requires that I change my password again.

I am incapable of changing my password again, it is my corporate policy that I do not change my password more than once a year. So so apple is just going to have to make an exception and allow me to use that same password to turn off two factor identification, since it was apple that turned it back on again anyway.

changing my password is a violation of my corporate policy.

EIthe that or at or someone at apple is going to have to turn off two factor identication for me, since it was apple who turned it back on. I should not be required to do it. It's apples fault.

How is it Apple's fault your company has an unworkable password policy?

Besides, I don't believe turning it off requires changing your password. It requires setting up new security questions. I have toggled 2FA off and on several times and always kept my password.

I would expect turning on 2FA was also against company policy. You did that.

Nobody here works for Apple. We have no possible way to solve your issue.

When you turn it off, it requires you to change your password. It is Apple that turned it back on again after I had already turned it off, so it is apples fault. I didn't turn it back on. Apple did. so Apple is going to have to find a way to help me to turn it off with requiring me to change my password again.

im not changing my password AGAIN, its too much of a hassle to change it. I do not want Apple's Stupid Two Factor Identification, I already turned it off, and had to change my password once, I am not changing my password again!

here is a screenshot of the page for turning off two factor identification. as yu will see, I donot have the option to change my questions, instead, I have to Chance my password. personally I dont see why I should have to change either of them. I'm so so paranoid as to require this extreme military type of security anyway. Seriously this is way to secure and it is completely un-necessary.

Just let me turn off two factor identification without changing my password. User uploaded file

You asked for this. You overtly set up 2FA, accepting it's extra layer and measures of security.

Clearly you have NOT turned it off yet, as you continue to tell us. You don't want to change your password to do so. Your choice.

You turned it on, so you must also turn it off.

When I disabled 2FA, I did not go through these dialogs. I kept my password, but created new questions... the opposite of what you have. So there must be some other underlying difference between your situation and mine.

NO! I turned it off! After I turned it off, I was sent a notification informing me that 2 factor identification was turned off.

Then when I logged in to my Apple account to inquire about the iCloud issue, I was required to use the 2 factor identification, to log in to Apple, even though I had already turned it off.

After I used the 2 factor identification to log in to the apple site, I was sent a follow up email informing me that I had turned it back on. I did not turn it back on, Apple forced me to use it even though I had already turned it off.

It is Apples Fault! please help me to turn it off in a way that I do not havee to change my password, because I REFUSE to change my password.

So. I guess turning off 2 factor Identification is a lie, its just a scam to make me accept it against my will, is that it? Lets explore how this works:

- I turn off 2 factor identification and am required to change my password to do it. I am even sent a message indicating that it is turned off, but turning it off isn't even real.

- since turning it off isn't real, when I log in to the apple site I am required to use it even though it is supposedly turned off.

-I use it because I need to log in to this site, and am sent a new message indicating that I have turned it back on.

-so to take this scenario even further, I then turn it off again, and have to change my password to do it, but turning it off is still a lie. so the message I am sent indicating I have turned it off means nothing because in order to log in to the apple site again, I am required to use it anyway even though it is supposedly turned off.

etc. etc. etc., eventually I give up and accept 2 factor identification even though I dont want it.

that's a pretty good scam.
