back button not showing in whatapp anymore

I have Iphone 7 with IOS10.2

I used to see backbutton at the top of Whatsapp screen. But all of a sudden I cant see the back button. This means I cannot go back to main screen or chat with some other contact.

Any help or clue will be highly appreciated.
