Airpods constantly cutting out with mac, help!?
For some reason my airpods interrupt all the time when connected to my macbook pro (Mid 2015). But when it's connected to my iphone 7 it's absolutely fine.
How to fix this?

I had the same problem. Was driving me nuts. Audio dropped frequently when listening to music on mac but fine for iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch and iPad.
Here is how I solved the issue.
1. Hold down Shift+Option and click on the Bluetooth icon in the menubar.
2. An hidden menu is visible called "Debug" in that menu choose "Reset the Bluetooth module".
- a warning will appear asking you to confirm the action. Keep in mind this will disconnect any bluetooth devices. So if your using a desktop with BT keyboard and mouse you may want to have a usb option available. I did it on my MacBook Pro so it wasn't a problem.
3. Restart the computer.
After restart the bluetooth was fine my accessories all connected without issue and most importantly my AirPods are working great now!!
Make a Genius Bar appointment and have them check your iPhone.
Yup, that's the next step.
Same here.
iPhone & iPad is absolutely fine but on my iMac 4K (2015) the bluetooth connection cuts out constantly... incredibly frustrating
I'm having the same problem. Everything seems to work well with my iPhone 7 and iPad Pro, but sound keeps cutting out on my iMac. Hope Apple fixes this soon.
Dave, thank you very much. The result of your trouble shooting worked for me.
Sadly, though I have followed each step in the process a few times this morning the fix no longer works. It worked great as reported February 19. Pacific707 have you noticed same? Thank you
I haven't had any issues after rebooting my BT module as described.
10 minutes in on iTunes and so far working good which is a huge improvement over earlier the a.m. Thanks hikerpa,
hikerpa's solution worked for me. Thanks h, you're a champion.
This does not seem to resolve the issue on my macbook. I have also updated the OS to the latest version.
Thanks so much for this answer. It fixed the problem the first time, then it fixed it the second time, and the third time...
See the new problem? 😟
Pacific707, this did the trick - thanks!
It helps, but it's a temporary fix... (btw, just restarting works)
Thank you Pacific707! That worked perfectly.
This worked for me too!! Thank you SO much.
