I have an iPhone 6s running iOS 10.2 I used Bose QuietComfort earphones with microphone to listen to music and, until recently, make phone calls. I can still listen to music but earphones no longer allow me to make phone calls. I tried a spacer but this didn't help. Has anyone solve this problem?

I just discovered and corrected the problem. The cable inserting into the headphones was every so slightly loose. I pushed it all the way in and all is fine now. YEAH!
Beats me. It was every so slightly loose. No problem with music. Problem with phone calls.
If cable is bad how can I listen to music? I have read of other people with same problem. Someone suggested a spacer, which I ordered over the web. It's a very small rubber washer that fits on the male plug on the headphone that inserts into the microphone slot on the iPhone. This problem only occurs on headphones with microphones.
If the cable was loose, how can you listen to music?
Sounds like the Bose cable is bad.
