iPod reset

Dear Community,

I have a iPod Model A1320 EMC No:2317 and would like to delete all data on it, by reseting it. I tried going to Settings>Reset Settings>Reset, but it redirects me to a language page, once I choose a language back to settings page. I also tried like it says on Learn how to reset your iPod - Apple Support

but if I do like it says with the click wheel, the apple logo appears briefly and then it just shows me the normal start page. If I do it like it says for iPod with scroll wheel, nothing happens at all. What should I do???

Thank You

If you want it 'as-shipped' so a new owner can start over... for lesser Nano, you can totally

wipe it by using iTunes in a computer, a PC or Mac. ~ All of Your content will be gone, too.

This may be way over the head of a more basic Nano:

There may be another Support article that could be more exacting to your issue.

My old iPod wasn't sophisticated enough to warrant any of these fancy re-sets.

The person I gave it to, was easily able to erase all contents they didn't want by

using iTunes in their PC. (Some re-sets are more invasive than others; the iPod

is essentially an external storage, with a lower-level OS installed.)

You could try another angle, or check details in the instructions to see if different

steps may be required for different versions of iPod Nano (generations aside.)

So far the idea to use iTunes from a computer seems to be the most suggested.

Because your model appears to be 4th or 5th generation, instructions

to do several things may be different or more complex; should any of

their steps be out of order the end result may not be satisfactory...

So perhaps this may offer suggestion; my other post was unable to be

edited due to Support site issues, so this link should have been in there.

Good luck in any event...! 🙂
