Why doesn't Iwatch series 1 come with USB power adapter?

I was shocked and frustrated when I opened my iwatch today and I didn't have a USB power adapter for the iwatch. I just don't understand why the watch itself doesn't have its own adapter. Yes I have one that came with my phone but shouldn't my watch come with one like all the other apple products. Even other watches has one,so why not this one.
