Forgot Iphone 6 plus passcode

Hi, my dad bought iPhone 6 plus couple months ago; he used iPhone 6 plus for couple days and didn't like it. So he started using his old galaxy phone and iPhone 6 plus just set at home for more than a month. Yesterday, he said I can use it if I want to, and I said sure. When I checked that iPhone 6 plus it was locked. I asked my dad what was the password, but he forget it. He didn't even remember apple ID nor did he set up find my iPhone. Today, I've tried a lot of things, but none of them worked. I've even tried to erase everything and put it as a new phone. Can you guys help me out. Thanks.

There is a difference between a password and a passcode. The password is goes with your Apple ID - that's an e-mail address you use for all Apple services. If that's what you forgot, you can go to iforgot.apple.com and recover the password.

The passcode is a 4 or 6 digit number you use to lock the phone. If that's the problem, you cannot bypass it. You'll have to erase the phone and start over: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

Yeah, sorry...the only way to get the phone working again is to erase and restore it. When you're through, it will be a new phone, and you will set it up as if you just bought it. Sadly, all of your data will be lost.

Plug the phone into the computer that has iTunes up and running. Hold down the power button and the home button until you see the iTunes logo (the Apple will come and go, then iTunes). There will be a prompt on the computer screen - chose restore. Follow the prompts. Don't unplug the phone until the phone screen says Hi or Hello.
