How to enter AppleID Verification Code on Macbook

I did the following and now appear to be stuck.

1. Changed my icloud password on my browser using my Macbook pro at icloud.com

2. I had two-step verification turned on so this also involved entering the code displayed on my phone

3. Entered the new password on my phone - this is now working (except for the bug that still asks me to complete the password change indefinitely).

4. Entered the new password on my Macbook when prompted.

5. My Macbook then said "An Apple ID verification code is required. Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices". I have this code but there is not box to enter it on my MacBook. The message is displayed at the top of the Internet Accounts box in Settings and no entry dialog box is shown.

6. I restarted my MacBook and am back at the same spot.

7. I opened the mail app on my MacBook and no new messages are being received.

How do I enter the code on my macbook?

I FIGURED IT OUT!

"Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices." Is the message you see. We insert it at the end of your password! ok duh we get this after a quick google. The answer to the question you are asking is this:

Exit the icloud preferences by clicking the go back Arrow (top left corner of pref. window), it will take you to System Preferences main menu, and then click the right arrow to go back into the icloud preference.

You now should have the ENTER PASSWORD field again instead of just the stupid message with no where to type.

Now,

Visit https://appleid.apple.com/ and sign in. You will receive a verification code on your secondary device.

Go back to icloud preferences and now insert your password followed by the verification code with no space in-between the two.

Ta da! =)
