Fit Bit and iPhone7

I just got my new iPhone 7 and I am so disappointed that it will not stay in constant sync with my FitBit Charge HR. I can go to my FitBit app and manually make it sync and the iPhone7, but the minute I leave the Bluetooth settings my FitBit is no longer recognized by my iPhone. This means that I can not get notifications that anyone is calling me and my FitBit has to be manually synced each time. I have tried all of the tricks (turning the FitBit off and the iPhone off, forgetting the device on the FitBit app and in my phones settings, deleting my FitBit tracker from my app and adding a new tracker device). Does anyone know when Apple is going to come out with a fix? The salesman at the At&t store suggested I buy an Apple Watch, of course, but I am quite happy with my FitBit and iPhone when they are compatible.
