Mac Pro 2013 pink boot screen

Hello. I got my new Mac Pro a few days ago and I have the Mac connected using an HDMI cable to a monitor and after booting up the computer, the start up screen is pink with a white Apple logo. This happened after starting up the Mac for the first time.

I took the risk and did a reinstall of MacOS Sierra and the problem is still there.

I googled and came up with needing to reset the NVRAM, which hopefully will fix the problem, but I am afraid that it might not. I am thinking of taking it to the local Apple Store and have them service it or even return it even though I have AppleCare.

What should I do?

Hi TechRocks,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Sorry to hear that you are having these issues with your new Mac Pro. If you are having a screen color or tint issue on startup when connected to an external display (obviously necessary on a Mac Pro), you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful. In particular, if at all possible, you may want to try testing on a different display to see if the issue persists.
