Can you track annual or monthly running data on Apple Watch?

I run with my Apple Watch. Is there a way in either the Activity App or the Health App to calculate total miles run in 2016? I see that all the data is in the Health App, but I don't see a total, and I'd prefer to not have to add up 365 days. Thanks.

Here's how I did it.

  • Go to the Activity app
  • Go to workouts
  • At the top left, tap the "2017" arrow to see yearly data.
  • At the top right, tap "filter" and then select "running"
  • Once you do that, it should show you monthly totals. It shows number of runs, total time, average time, total calories burned, average calories burned per run, total distance, average distance per run, and average pace.

When I go in to look at that, it doesn't give me monthly totals, it gives me daily totals within the month. My watch isn't syncing to mapmyrun either. I'm very frustrated and disappointed. It synced until October and hasn't synced since then. I thought I told it to sync last night and thought it was fine, but did a workout this morning and it isn't syncing. HELP!
