Question

invisible ink not working .

People having problems using iMessage with invisible ink including myself . Various advice has been given on the internet and here also. I found only by disabling 3D Touch that the invisible ink , balloons options were revealed when lightly pressing the blue arrow when using iMessage .

Ultimately apple need to remedy this issue.

You shouldn't need to disable 3D Touch in order for these effects to be available. If you haven't already, I recommend to try restarting your iPhone. This can help resolve issues like you're experiencing. You can restart your iPhone by following these steps: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch .

You may also want to check your Accessibility settings. The Reduce Motion setting can cause some message effects to not work properly.

If you're still having trouble, then the next step you'll want to take is to reinstall the software on your iPhone. This should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.
