I have an iPod mini with several playlists, and all of a sudden the playlists won't play in order. Instead, the iPod shuffles around within the playlist, but it won't play it in order. I have updated my software, tried clicking the "shuffle" on and then off again, and I have tried moving songs to a new playlist but the same thing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I tried this. I went in to the specific playlist. The shuffle was listed as "off", but just in case, I turned it "on", and then "off" again. This didn't help. This wasn't the shuffle for the entire library, just that playlist.
1.In iTunes the songs are listed in order on the playlist, and they play in order if I play them from my computer. It is just the iPod that won't play the playlist in order.
2. I have only tried about three of my playlists (they are my running playlists which are the ones that I really want to go in order). I will try others and get back to you to see if I have the same problem.
I did try creating a whole new playlist just to see if it was only a problem with the one, but the new playlist won't play in order either.
Big thanks to all of you who are trying to help me!
Are you using iTunes or the iPod (as stated in your first post).
I went in to the specific playlist. The shuffle was listed as "off" There is no shuffle setting for each playlist. There is only one shuffle to turn On or Off. This is at Settings -> Shuffle - (Off - Songs - Album).
The iPod main menu simply shuffles all songs, regardless of the how Settings - Shuffle is configured.
just in case, I turned it "on", and then "off" again. There is no "On" setting for shuffle on the iPod.
It is "Off" - "Song" - "Album"
