What does "low disk space" mean? and how to prevent it from happening?

iPhone 6sPlus. I have my photos also back up on google but it is very annoying to have to keep deleting photos off iPhone gallery just for the new photos:videos to synch.

Low disk means you are filling up all of the available storage and are running out of unused storage for new material, such as new photos you take. Your device has finite storage space. If you are using all of that, then the only way to gain usable space back is to delete material on the device. The only way to prevent filling up the available space would be to stop adding new material to the device (or buy a device with more storage that better suits your usage pattern).
